Music Management
We are often asked to support musicians, venues, and organisations in various ways and this has largely been done on an adhoc, pro bono, basis and often in collaboration with other organisations. We know that many independent artists, small venues and organisations may not have the resources to procure the services of large management organisations to support with various aspects of tour and events management and promotion, and our intention is to continue to do so at a rate that is reasonable and fair or, at times, pro bono with an agreed exchange.
So far, this work has included:
•Tour management - we have now successfully booked and managed mini tours in Cornwall & Devon on behalf of musicians who are coming to perform in Cornwall. Artists have included: Ric Sanders & Vo Fletcher, Emily Slade, Merry Hell, Kevin Dempsey, Fairport Convention. Terms can be agreed on a case by case basis, on commission.
•Promotion - we are happy to promote venues, organisations, and independent musicians via our networks. We may do this on a pro bono basis where there is fair exchange and/or where organisations have community/charitable aims (eg a straight exchange of promotion to our respective audiences), or we can negotiate a reasonable rate to suit your needs and our capacity.
•Events organisation - we can organise your events for you from start to finish or advise those who need support with events organisation. We will offer community organisations lower than market rate.
•Musicians - we may manage independent musicians for a lower than market rate, for those who need support but do not have the resources to contract with one of the larger music management organisations. We will prioritise support for musicians who have experienced/overcome adversity, and need a helping hand.
